Mother Nature Comes for Us

Those of us who were around and old enough at the time will never forget the commercial for Chiffon Margarine proclaiming “It’s not nice to fool Mother Nature!”  https://youtu.be/ijVijP-CDVI Designed to communicate the authentic buttery taste of the fake stuff while Mother Nature declares her wrath upon humanity for tricking her, I remember the commercial but nothing special about the margarine.  What I do remember was the big deal my own mother made whenever we

The Blue Roads Slogan

Our slogan above is intended to convey four distinct, yet interrelated, priorities: Homegrown: To express our belief in, and commitment to, local community strengths. Solutions:  To communicate the importance of constructive innovations to address pressing issues.    Patchwork:  To honor tradition, in its place, while opening our minds and hearts to include new perspectives. World:  To develop citizens capable of making significant changes locally and globally. The more we work to unpack our purpose as

Why Change?

I’m blessed with three of the most beautiful and energetic grandchildren you can imagine. (I’m not at all biased.  😊) These three young ones challenge and inspire me and give me both great hope and constant trepidation. What kind of world have they come into?  What will the future hold for them?  What can I, as one grandparent, possibly do to assure a healthy world in which they can thrive and reach their fullest potential?
