I’m blessed with three of the most beautiful and energetic grandchildren you can imagine. (I’m not at all biased. 😊) These three young ones challenge and inspire me and give me both great hope and constant trepidation. What kind of world have they come into? What will the future hold for them? What can I, as one grandparent, possibly do to assure a healthy world in which they can thrive and reach their fullest potential?
If you’re like me and a lot of folks I know, you lose some sleep over questions like these. Like me, you might be itching for a change. You may be more than a bit concerned about the world you will someday leave behind.
Whether or not you are a grandparent, you may be looking around seeing things that worry you greatly. You may even feel a bit powerless. The issues may seem too big and insurmountable. Maybe you are apprehensive about climate change or poverty or healthcare. Maybe you are troubled by the prevalence of violence and bullying and drug addiction. It may be that the ongoing racism in our country keeps you up at night. Perhaps you are concerned about your children’s addiction to their mobile devices. You may fret over all of these or something else entirely.
Whatever your issues, you are in the right place if you are seeking change. You are in the right place if you want to be a part of a solution. That’s what Blue Roads Education is about. Solutions.
The “Blue Road” embodies the path to positive change for a better world. The Blue Road is not a direct or easy path from “point A to point B”. It is a winding path with many twists and turns through numerous peaks and valleys. Yet, it is the more beautiful and the most meaningful life path for most of us. The Blue Road is the route of the changemaker. It is the path for anyone who wants to make a change and empower others to do the same. We exist to join with others in walking the path of a changemaker. Together we will learn the way as we walk it.
We hope you’ll join us on the journey to figure out just what it takes to become changemakers and to lead others toward change-making characteristics, behaviors and actions in their lives. I’m counting on the Blue Road to help me find the way to a better world for my grandchildren and yours.
